Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Your privacy matters to me, both as a legal duty under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and as a basic part of the trust this work depends on. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it.

What I collect, and why

When you book your first online session, the booking form asks for your name, email, chosen session type, city and time zone, anything you’d like to work on (optional), and your typed signature agreeing to the client agreement. You can also provide a phone number if you’d like to. I collect this so I can hold your signed agreement, prepare for your session, and contact you about your booking. Nothing else.

When you join the Journal, your email address is collected and held by MailerLite (mailerlite.com), the email service I use to send an occasional note when something new is published. MailerLite will first send you a confirmation email – you’re only added once you confirm. Every note includes an unsubscribe link, and leaving the list removes you immediately.

When you book a session time, the booking details you enter (name, email, chosen session and time, plus a mobile number where required or provided) are stored securely in this practice’s own booking system. A mobile number is required for in-person and equine bookings and optional for online bookings; equine bookings also ask for the horse’s location. If you provide a mobile number and opt in, session reminders can be sent by SMS through TNZ, a New Zealand SMS provider. Otherwise your reminder is sent by email. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe; I don’t see or store your full payment card details.

Online sessions are hosted through Daily (daily.co), a video provider; joining a session creates a private video room and access link for that appointment only.

After a session – online, in person, or by phone – I may keep working notes in this website’s private administration area: which approaches we used, what we focused on, anything that shifted, homework or follow-up ideas, and what to focus on next time. These are my own brief working notes, not a transcript or recording of what was said. For online sessions, I may also send you a short written summary drawn from those notes, covering what we focused on and anything to reflect on before next time; a copy of that summary is kept alongside the notes.

If you use the beliefs workbook quiz, you can read and download your suggestions without giving your name or email. Your quiz choices and kept starting points stay in your browser tab; restarting the quiz clears them. The download is created in your browser and does not submit your quiz answers or workbook notes to this website. The current quiz does not offer an email-results form. If you requested an email copy through an earlier version, the name, email and result summary you provided for that request may remain in the practice’s private records. Individual answers and workbook notes were not included in that signup record or email. Any optional Journal signup was separate.

If you buy a gift voucher, the buyer and recipient names and emails, the voucher amount and occasion, and any personal message you write are stored securely so the voucher can be generated, emailed, and honoured when redeemed. This information isn’t used for anything beyond issuing and honouring that voucher.

Like most websites, this site also collects some standard technical information (such as pages visited and general location) through Google Analytics, which helps me understand how people use the site. This information doesn’t identify you personally.

Where your information lives

Signed agreements, session notes and summaries, any earlier quiz email requests, and voucher records are stored securely within this website’s private administration area, hosted by SiteGround, and copies may also be sent by email to me and, where relevant, to you. Booking records are stored securely in this practice’s own booking system, hosted on Railway. Resend is used to deliver booking-related emails. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a widely-used, PCI-compliant payment provider. Online sessions are hosted through Daily. The Journal list lives with MailerLite. Access is limited to me, protected by login security. I don’t sell or rent your information. The services used to operate this website and booking system include SiteGround, Railway, Resend, TNZ, Stripe, Daily, Google Analytics and MailerLite, each handling information only as needed to provide its part of the service.

Client confidentiality

What you share in a session is treated confidentially. There are limited legal exceptions, including situations where sharing information is necessary to address a serious threat to someone’s life or health. I’ll explain confidentiality and its limits before we begin.

What stays private

What you actually share and explore during a session isn’t recorded verbatim anywhere on this website; sessions aren’t recorded, and I don’t keep a transcript. What I do keep, as described above, are my own brief working notes and, for some online sessions, a short written summary – kept so I can serve you well in future sessions, not as a full record of what was discussed.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act you can ask me at any time what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted (I may need to keep a signed agreement for my professional records, but I’ll always tell you what I’m keeping and why). Just email me at vicki@vickiharding.com and I’ll respond promptly.
